9X Cannes Lion winner Kristen Koop (A.K.A. Koop) is a VP CD/Art Director with 17 years of experience. Her passion lies in creating stuff that makes people think differently and engage in things they otherwise wouldn’t. Sometimes, she just likes to make people laugh. She also prides herself on being able to think in all media (even when that media, isn’t really media, say a fashion line).
She grew up in a competitive home with two brothers: Big Koop and Little Koop. Landing me in the middle as Koop.

Her childhood was spent living adjacent to two farms in upstate New York. She then fled to the big city to attend College at FIT where she worked 3 jobs to pay for school and had to maintain a 3.5 average to keep her scholarships. (Just in case you were wondering about her work ethic.)

She began her career in junior year of college at Amalgamated and freelancing at Cliff Freeman & Partners and distinguished herself as a junior Art Director who had multiple TV spots before she graduated college.

Ari Merkin offered her a freelance position at Toy before she even graduated college. From there she freelanced around at such places as BBDO, eventually landing back at Cliff Freeman & Partners with a full time gig where humor was a competitive sport and she was able to produce a ton of TV and Print. From there she permalnced at Digitas where she became the lead creative on her clients and proved her digital chops. And then went on to become an ACD at GNP (Gardner Nelson + Partners) where she designed a national logo for Spectrum Cable. She is now currently at VP CD at Publicis Groupe working across multiple agencies where needed. Agencies included Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi and Digitas. Accounts are Smuckers and Mondelez.

Koop has worked with many of the world’s top brands such as: Diesel, Apple, AT&T, Amazon, Samsung, Cadillac, Scope, Smuckers, Milk-Bone, Folgers, Fiverr, Chips Ahoy, Trident Gum, Oreo, Ritz, Wheat Thins, Triscuits, Crest, Charmin, Wendy’s, Snapple, Quiznos, Ben & Jerry’s, Svedka Vodka, Office Max, Spectrum, Comcast, Amstel, and Days Inn, and several others.
